About the Artist
Together, Brenda and Brittany have a shared passion for bringing fine art into peoples’ homes and hearts.
At 18 years old, Brenda Schodt embarked on her first adventure and found herself mesmerized by the beauty of a Southwestern sunset. The unforgettable sunlit landscape inspired her. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts and studied “luminism”, the effect of light in landscape. Combining her unique style, signature painted landscapes and desire to offer her artwork on collectable aesthetic forms, the demand for her artwork grew for four decades.
Brenda’s daughter Brittany Kells, stepped into the creative space full-time in 2007. Brittany is a longstanding photographer, digital artist, and executive visionary.
In 2022, this dynamic mother-daughter team launched Sunlit Art, a growing collection of Brenda Schodt’s paintings that have been transformed into fine art collectible prints. Sunlit Art collections now include designs that capture breathtaking views and preserve memories of scenic locations across the United States.
